THE REQUIREMENTS

THE REQUIREMENTS

·        Develops business plans that support the assigned utility market within the assigned territory.

·        Recruit, train, develop specialized utility sales personnel to insure appropriate customer coverage

·        Works with appropriate sales personnel to develop tactical plans that support the Company?s overall electric utility strategy.

·        Develops assigned sales territory business plans with suppliers that marketing has identified as strategic.

·        Implements the sales management process, utilizing sales rep business plans, pre-call plans, and post call coaching debriefs. 

·        Establishes annual sales and gross margin rates for the market applicable sales reps or other sales personnel within the district.

·        Evaluates industry and business trends for potential impact on the utility market, identifies key business opportunities and potential threats within the assigned sales territory.

·        Develops and maintains relationships with key customers and suppliers so that the assigned sales territory is properly positioned within the marketplace.  Provides guidance and support in the retention of profitable business.  

·        Clearly and concisely communicates appropriate business information and performance expectations to the assigned sales territory on a regular basis. 

·        Ensures the assigned sales territory has implemented effective recruiting, staffing, employee development, performance management, and succession planning programs in assigned area. 

·        Assists in the development and implementation of appropriate tools and/or training programs within the assigned sales territory to support the utility market business growth.

·        Other duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Education: Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience preferred. 

Experience: A minimum of five years direct utility experience

Knowledge: Knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry, Knowledge of the Company?s business, customers, suppliers, and external market conditions, Knowledge of the applicable specialty business (electric utility), Knowledge of financial analysis methods and techniques, Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and practices

The Responsibilities:


* Develops and executes an ongoing program to monitor and benchmark the attractiveness of the company?s total rewards programs (compensation and benefits) against relevant industry statistics and key competitors

* Ensures total reward programs are aligned with established company principles and objectives

* Analyzes and reports on various components related to total reward issues, including advice and support to management regarding interpreting policy and plans

* Makes recommendations to leadership and HR regarding plans that require review due to operational issues or regulatory changes

* Plans, designs, administers, and maintains the company?s benefits programs, including life, health, disability, pension and profit sharing that support the total rewards philosophy and ensure market competitiveness

* Supervises the selection of the company?s benefits providers, including carriers, consultants, brokers, trustees, advisors, administration platforms and other partners; responsible for ongoing management of benefits partners, including periodic selection and monitoring against required service levels

* Maintains a working knowledge of legislation that may affect compensation, benefits, and/or polices and ensures compliance with all legal requirements of various employee benefit and compensation programs; oversees the preparation and filing of required legal reports and documents

* Maintains and supports the ongoing operations for internal compensation and benefits committees required for program decision making and regulatory compliance

RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Ensures the design and structure of the Corporate Accounts organization is future focused and maximizes the company?s strategic opportunities

* Builds senior-level Business-to-Business relationships with strategic corporate accounts, including supply chain relationships with key manufacturers

* Responsible for the continual growth and retention of corporate account agreements

* Achieves all sales growth targets and contribution model return rates set for Corporate Accounts team

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education:    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferredExperience:  A minimum of ten years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in a large organization specializing in wholesale distribution or manufacturingKnowledge:  Must have a proven track record of leadership-level business development and sales experience and a comprehensive knowledge of strategic business plans, contract negotiations, customer relationship management, pricing, RFP process, business/sales presentations, financial analysis and contract compliance.  In addition, the ideal candidate will possess exceptional written and verbal communication, analytical, and presentation skills; high attention to detail; sound judgment and critical thinking skills; Must be able to quickly establish credibility and be decisive and resourceful.  A working knowledge of SAP software is a plus.  Some travel is required.

* Oversee partnerships with key recruitment vendors (Indeed.com, LinkedIn, Monster, etc.); review data to assess, challenge, grow and re-assess these partnerships, as necessary, and develop new partnerships with industry leading recruitment technology/process/media vendors/partners

* Update and maintain company policies regarding recruitment practices

* Work in partnership with managers to identify workforce-planning trends that impact achievement of business planning needs, and provide suggested solutions to any identified issues

* Assist in the identification, development and national implementation of new sourcing channels and talent pipelines

* Develop and deliver tools that allow managers to plan their own workforce requirements to support the recruitment, retention and development of competent and engaged employees

* Utilize data as an effective management tool, forecasting trends and anticipating workforce and recruitment needs

* Travel to college and other recruiting fairs and activities to represent the Company

* Manage and manipulate data from multiple sources to produce reports, dashboards, and key metrics; Collect data from multiple sources and prepare reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis

Qualifications:


* Bachelor?s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience

* PHR or SPHR certification preferred

* Four or more years experience in managing recruitment and workforce planning

* Ability to work across functional/departmental lines as needed to secure engagement of key stakeholders

* Forward thinking while maintaining an appreciation and understanding of past practices

* Ability and willingness to travel as needed for recruitment efforts, including national college recruitment

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and details while meeting deadlines

* Solid PC skills, Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook required

* Familiarity with SAP a plus

THE REQUIREMENTS


* Provide technical expertise and direction in developing and supporting system-level programs and interfacing with customers on requirements

* Participate in all phases of the data warehouse development cycle

* Responsible for production support and maintenance of data warehouse while working with the team on system performance optimization and interoperability issues

* Code extract and summarization routines

* Code, test, and implement complex programs; develop appropriate programs and systems documentation according to established IT standards

* Support and troubleshoot production systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving production problems, and providing timely follow-up on problem reports

* Plan, schedule, and conduct decision support systems tests; monitor test results; take required corrective action

* Develop restructure process routines; create index and view scripts

* Interface with customers to determine requirements

* Aid in systems development planning and monitoring

* Provide technical direction and training to other IT personnel

* Provide technical consultation in new systems development, new package system evaluations, and enhancement of existing systems; participate in structured walk-through and technical reviews.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION 

Education:Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.

Experience:Three to four years experience in systems development and programming. Familiarity with line-of-business legacy systems. Experience as a team member on project teams in a cross-functional environment. Experience in design and implementation of data warehouse required. Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse is desirable, but not a requirement. 

Knowledge:Knowledge of extract tools. Strong knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques. Some knowledge of database management and file access methods is desirable; expertise in online analytical processing (OLAP) is a strong plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills. Solid project management skills in planning and monitoring projects in a cross-functional environment. Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly-changing technology and apply it to business needs. Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence in the data warehouse team?s knowledge and of concern for customers? business needs.

The Opportunity

As Manager, Compensation, you will be charged with assisting in the recommendation, development, implementation and education of compensation policies, plans and procedures to maintain internal quality, external competitiveness and cost effectiveness of compensation plans. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring all compensation plan practices, policies, and system data, including its integrity. As Manager, Compensation, you will be responsible for researching, participating in, conducting and analyzing salary surveys, and proposing recommendations for improving effectiveness of existing policies. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing policy, practice, and survey data for all locations and recommending salary ranges and developing new salary ranges as needed. With respect to training, this role is responsible for assisting with training and development of tools and educational/reference materials for management with regard to pay practices, salary ranges, job descriptions, incentive plans and management responsibilities.



The Requirements

The ideal candidate to lead in this position will have a history of increasing responsibility for Compensation programs with an understanding of both compensation theory and practice. A minimum of three years of HR or related-departmental experience is required. The successful candidate will possess considerable knowledge of compensation-related government regulations and plan design principles. Possession of a Bachelor's degree and/or CCP is preferred. We are looking for a strategic thinker with above average consulting and training skills and the drive to make things happen.  This position requires a candidate who has the ability to work with all levels of management while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. A working knowledge of quantitative analysis techniques, project management, and group presentation skills is highly preferred.
