THE REQUIREMENTS





* Obtain credit information, reports and other necessary information to effectively evaluate prospective customers. 

* Handle routine correspondence with customers, sales representatives and other employees regarding purchase requests, claims, invoicing, and other financial issues. 

* Set up files and secure necessary customer job information including lien rights and notifications. 

* Assist in customer credit evaluations and approvals. 

* Assist in collection efforts by phone or in person. 

* Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in credit/collections required.

Experience: No experience required

Knowledge: Must exhibit a positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and assume responsibilities. Must be able to effectively interface with a customers backgrounds and personalities. Exhibits the ability to absorb and apply the principles of financial management. Must possess intermediate computer skills with an emphasis in spreadsheets (Excel). Candidates willing to relocate for future promotional opportunities strongly preferred.

* Progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers and source new business through prospecting new customers via telephone or other electronic device(s) for the purpose of selling Graybar products.

* Promote and sell Graybar products in compliance with all company pricing policies and instructions, to achieve maximum gross margin rate.

* Handle customer complaints promptly, effectively and report potential claims. 

* Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.

* Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed and recommend new items for stock.

* Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested. 

* Perform other duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Education: Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience: Two to four years' industry-specific experience preferred.

Knowledge: Broad knowledge of product line and pricing. Proven ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals. THE REQUIREMENTS

·        Develops business plans that support the assigned utility market within the assigned territory.

·        Recruit, train, develop specialized utility sales personnel to insure appropriate customer coverage

·        Works with appropriate sales personnel to develop tactical plans that support the Company?s overall electric utility strategy.

·        Develops assigned sales territory business plans with suppliers that marketing has identified as strategic.

·        Implements the sales management process, utilizing sales rep business plans, pre-call plans, and post call coaching debriefs. 

·        Establishes annual sales and gross margin rates for the market applicable sales reps or other sales personnel within the district.

·        Evaluates industry and business trends for potential impact on the utility market, identifies key business opportunities and potential threats within the assigned sales territory.

·        Develops and maintains relationships with key customers and suppliers so that the assigned sales territory is properly positioned within the marketplace.  Provides guidance and support in the retention of profitable business.  

·        Clearly and concisely communicates appropriate business information and performance expectations to the assigned sales territory on a regular basis. 

·        Ensures the assigned sales territory has implemented effective recruiting, staffing, employee development, performance management, and succession planning programs in assigned area. 

·        Assists in the development and implementation of appropriate tools and/or training programs within the assigned sales territory to support the utility market business growth.

·        Other duties as assigned.

 

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Education: Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience preferred. 

Experience: A minimum of five years direct utility experience

Knowledge: Knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry, Knowledge of the Company?s business, customers, suppliers, and external market conditions, Knowledge of the applicable specialty business (electric utility), Knowledge of financial analysis methods and techniques, Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and practices

Skills: Leadership and supervisory skills,  Analytical and problem solving skills, Planning and organizational skills, Written and verbal communication and presentation skills, Listening skills,  Results orientation skills, Negotiation skills, Mathematical skills

THE REQUIREMENTS



* Prepare cost estimates of materials requested by Sales, Customer Service Representatives, Stock Maintenance, and appropriate management.

* Compile bill of materials, utilizing knowledge of products to be manufactured.

* Itemize tools, fixtures, or equipment to be manufactured by company or purchased from outside sources.

* Contact manufacturers, factories, and representatives to obtain best-cost information when necessary.

* Compute cost estimates for materials, price escalation, and abnormal freight charges.

* Compare manufacturer's bill of material to determine and price any differences for complete comparisons.

* Correlate all cost information within time frame of bid date and time needed by contractors, sales personnel, and appropriate management.

* Assist others in Quotation Department in price quoting and perform other duties as assigned.



SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.



Experience: Previous quotations experience preferred.



Knowledge: Broad knowledge of product line and pricing. Ability to deal with customers and factory representatives to obtain pricing information and their cooperation. Working knowledge of Excel. Good math skills. Good communication and organization skills.

THE REQUIREMENTS






* Progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers and source new business through prospecting new customers. Sales Representative must customarily and regularly engage in work away from company's place of business.

* Promote and sell Graybar products in compliance with all company pricing policies and instructions, to achieve maximum gross margin rate.

* Handle customer complaints promptly, effectively and report potential claims. 

* Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.

* Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed and recommend new items for stock.

* Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested. 

* Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Education: Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience: Two to four years' industry-specific experience preferred.

Knowledge:  Broad knowledge of product line and pricing. Proven ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals. Negotiation skills along with ability to sell and be persuasive. Broad knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing. Professional appearance and demeanor. Acceptable driving record. May require onsite customer visits.

THE REQUIREMENTS


* Select inventory or pack customer orders under supervision.

* Load or unload delivery vehicles and assemble stock onto pallets, warehouse trucks, racks, or shelves.

* Open cartons, bundles, and other containers and convey stock to designated area by hand, handtruck, or other equipment.

* Weigh, count, and record units of stock for customer order verification.

* May drive van or light vehicle to deliver customer orders.

* May perform counter sales responsibilities as backup personnel.

* May perform wire cutting duties and inventory cycle counting as required.

* Perform other duties as assigned.


SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Education: Prefer High School Graduate or G.E.D.

Experience: Six months to one year warehousing/material handling experience preferred.

Knowledge: Basic reading, math skills, and attention to detail is strongly preferred. Ability to walk and move freely and regularly lift up to 70 pounds of stock. Knowledge of warehousing procedures and security regulations. OSHA certified in safe operation of forklift, wire cutting and stretch-wrap equipment desireable. Department of Transportation (DOT) certification desireable.

* Prepares cost estimates of materials for internal and external customers. Compiles bill of materials utilizing knowledge of products to be manufactured. Itemizes tools, fixtures or equipment to be manufactured by company or purchased from outside sources. Consults with factories and representatives to obtain best-cost information. SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Education: Equivalent to High School Diploma plus two years college preferred.

Experience: Minimum of one to three years of related experience communicating and negotiating with customers, suppliers, and/or manufacturers.

Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of multiple product lines and pricing strategies required to generate quotations. Knowledge of SAP programs used to support the Quotations process preferred. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel with proficient mathematical skills. * Compare manufacturer's bill of material to determine and price any differences for complete comparisons.

* Correlate all cost information within time frame of bid date and time needed by contractors, sales personnel, and appropriate management.

* Assist others in Quotation Department in price quoting and perform other duties as assigned.



SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.



Experience: Previous quotations experience preferred.



Knowledge: Broad knowledge of product line and pricing. Ability to deal with customers and factory representatives to obtain pricing information and their cooperation. Working knowledge of Excel. Good math skills. Good communication and organization skills.

* Take an active role in selling Graybar goods and services on all inbound and outbound calls.

* Provide support on product selection and application. 

* Coordinate the prompt handling of all customer requests including, but not limited to, order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit and claims.

* Assist the customer in the resolution of all disputes and claims.

* May participate in joint sales calls on Graybar customer base.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers and source new business through prospecting new customers. Sales Representative must customarily and regularly engage in work away from company's place of business.

* Promote and sell Graybar products in compliance with all company pricing policies and instructions, to achieve maximum gross margin rate.

* Handle customer complaints promptly, effectively and report potential claims. 

* Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.

* Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed and recommend new items for stock.

* Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Education: Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience: Two to four years' industry-specific experience preferred.

Knowledge:  Broad knowledge of product line and pricing. Proven ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals. Negotiation skills along with ability to sell and be persuasive. Broad knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing. Professional appearance and demeanor. Acceptable driving record.
